Fifth Birthday of the Chatbot: Wroclaw Airport leading the way in innovation

Since the creation of the Wroclaw Airport Chatbot on March 7, 2019, the Wroclaw Airport has experienced a significant increase in interactions and engagement with passengers. The chatbot has become an integral part of passenger service, answering hundreds of frequently asked questions, assisting in finding connections, purchasing tickets, and sending flight status notifications. The chatbot was developed in collaboration with the Wroclaw-based company KODA.AI.

On the fifth birthday of the chatbot, we summarize the key events:

  • On March 14, 2020, the highest number of interactions with the chatbot in history was recorded – as many as 547 people used it in a single day. This event confirmed that the chatbot has become an integral part of the passenger experience, providing quick answers to questions and sharing important information about the airport.
  • On May 3, 2022, a breakthrough moment was recorded when the 100,000th person opened the chatbot, confirming its popularity and usefulness. This milestone showed that the chatbot has become an indispensable tool for passengers seeking quick and easily accessible information.
  • On June 28, 2023, another success was noted when the 100,000th person engaged in a conversation with the bot. This is evidence that the chatbot not only is opened by users but also effectively responds to their questions and needs.
  • On September 14, 2023, the airport announced a contest for the name of the chatbot, which received enthusiastic responses. After numerous proposals, Chatlotka and Chatlot officially boarded as the new names of the chatbot, symbolizing its role as an indispensable travel companion.
  • Finally, on March 7, 2024, we celebrated five years of the chatbot’s existence on Facebook and introduced an innovative novelty – the Chatbot on Instagram. This is another step in the airport’s leading role in introducing technological innovations to further increase accessibility and support for our passengers.

Thanks to the chatbot, the Wroclaw airport continues to lead in innovation, providing passengers with quick and easy access to information and an excellent travel experience.
