Wrocław Airport consistently implements a sustainable development strategy, in which waste management is one of the key areas of action.

1. Double segregation and reduction of waste
A so-called double waste segregation system has been implemented throughout the entire terminal. Waste is additionally sorted by dedicated staff before being collected by an external company. At the same time, the On-Time restaurant carries out activities aimed at reducing food waste, including offering discounts on products at the end of the day.

2. Optimisation of waste management
The airport has invested in a baler for paper and plastic foil, which significantly reduces the volume of waste, limits storage space requirements, and improves the logistics of waste collection.

These activities are in line with the “zero waste” approach, understood as a practical plan that includes reducing waste generation, reusing materials, and recycling.
