Wizz Air speeds up – new connections from Wrocław starting in July!
Not from December 4, as previously announced, but from July 18, the Hungarian carrier will increase its presence at Wrocław Airport. Thanks to the second aircraft stationed at the base in the capital of Lower Silesia, passengers will gain as many as four new routes and more flights to popular holiday destinations in southern Europe.
Madrid, Nice, Bucharest, and Basel – these are the new destinations that will be available to all travelers departing from Wrocław Airport starting July 18. Wizz Air planes will fly to Basel four times a week, while the carrier has planned three weekly flights to Nice, Madrid, and Bucharest. “Four new routes, plus increased frequency of flights to Italy, Spain, and Croatia – this is fantastic news for everyone planning their upcoming vacation. Our passengers will benefit from an exceptional summer flight schedule. In total, together with other carriers, we will offer as many as 11 new destinations in 10 countries during the summer season. We have never had such a significant number of new routes in the history of our airport,” emphasized Karol Przywara, CEO of Wrocław Airport.
“By launching several new connections earlier than originally planned and increasing the frequency on existing routes, we are responding to the high demand we are observing from Wrocław this summer. These changes will provide travelers with even greater flexibility and a wider choice for summer trips across Europe. We remain committed to expanding our presence in Poland and offering affordable and convenient options to an increasing number of passengers,” said Salvatore Gabriele Imperiale, Corporate Communications Manager at Wizz Air.
From the capital of Lower Silesia to Swiss Basel, located right on the border with Germany and France, flights will depart on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Meanwhile, flights to Nice, Madrid, and Bucharest are scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. An additional aircraft at the Wrocław base also means an increased number of connections to highly popular summer destinations. The number of flights to Spanish Malaga and Croatian Split will increase to three per week. On the other hand, there will be as many as four weekly flights on routes to Bari and Barcelona.
