Nearly 1,9 mln passengers in 3rd quarter in Wrocław Airport
Exactly 1,860,501 passengers used Wrocław Airport’s services from the beginning of July to the end of September. It was by far the best third quarter in the airport’s history. September also proved to be a record-breaking month, with over 600,000 travelers choosing Wrocław as the starting or ending point of their journey.
Wrocław Airport continues its remarkable streak of success. Following a record-breaking summer season, the start of autumn brought even more unprecedented results. For the first time ever, the airport handled over 600,000 passengers for three consecutive months — 615,000 in July, 643,000 in August, and 601,000 in September. The most popular low-cost destinations included Zadar, Malta, and Rome.
“We were confident from the very beginning that this would be a record-breaking summer. Together with our airline partners, we prepared an exceptional network of connections, featuring a record number of eleven new routes — from the sunny south, through the cooler north, to yet another airport in London. Everyone could find something for themselves, which is clearly reflected in our results. I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to all our airport employees — without their professionalism, these new records would not have been possible,” emphasizes Karol Przywara, President of the Management Board of Wrocław Airport.
The excellent monthly results are confirmed not only by the airport’s own data but also by independent analyses from reputable industry sources. According to Air Service One, Wrocław Airport ranked 6th among the 100 largest European airports in terms of growth during the summer season, comparing summer 2025 to summer 2019 (the last pre-pandemic year). Meanwhile, the Airports Council International Europe (ACI Europe), which brings together over 600 airports from 55 countries, placed Wrocław 5th among medium-sized airports, analyzing year-on-year passenger growth in August.
These outstanding achievements come at a time when Wrocław Airport is undergoing the largest investment in its history, involving the expansion of its operational area.
“Handling over 600,000 passengers for three months in a row is already a demanding task. Doing so while simultaneously building a new apron, taxiways, a rapid-exit taxiway, a de-icing pad, and renovating existing taxiways makes it even more complex. That’s why we’re especially proud that both operations and construction have progressed smoothly — without any delays, fully in line with the schedule,” notes Cezary Pacamaj, Vice President of the Management Board of Wrocław Airport.
It wasn’t only the number of passengers that reached impressive levels. According to the aviation portal Fly4Free, Wrocław Airport ranked 13th among the 100 largest airports in Europe based on traveler reviews. Its high position in the ranking, compiled from Google user ratings, reflects the airport’s efficient service, cleanliness, and functional terminal design.
