An exceptional summer season: Over 3 million passengers served by Wrocław Airport!

Between April 1 and October 31, 2024, Wrocław Airport served exactly 3,158,154 passengers. This means an increase of over 400,000 travelers compared to the same period last year. The most popular destinations were the United Kingdom, Italy, Greece, Spain, and Turkey.

The majority of the traffic was generated by passengers of network airlines and low-cost carriers, totaling over 2.3 million travelers. Meanwhile, slightly over 800,000 passengers chose charter flights for vacations organized by travel agencies, with charter flights enjoying record-breaking popularity during the summer season.

Wrocław Airport offered flights to nearly 90 destinations across three continents – Europe, Asia, and Africa – during the summer season. Italy was the most popular tourist destination, with flights from Wrocław available to nine cities on the Apennine Peninsula. Among them, Milan-Bergamo Airport were the top choice. Close behind the italian fashion capital were Bologna, Malta, Athens, and Valencia.

The summer flight timetable at Wrocław Airport also saw a dynamic expansion of its charter offerings. Over 800,000 travelers began and ended their vacations in the capital of Lower Silesia. The most popular destinations included Antalya, the heart of the Turkish Riviera, known for its beautiful beaches and luxurious hotels, as well as Crete, Greece, offering both charming beaches and unique historical landmarks.

The success of the summer season at Wrocław Airport is further highlighted by the average load factor of the flights. For both low-cost carriers and charter airlines, it reached an impressive 93%, a remarkable achievement given the record-breaking variety of connections available.
