30 mln passengers for 12. birthday of Wroclaw Airport’s terminal.

March 11, 2024 marked 12 years since the operational opening of the new terminal of Wrocław Airport. During this time the airport served 30 million passengers and the passenger number 30,000,000 arrived from Warsaw on Wednesday, March 13.
History has come full circle. The flight from Wrocław to Warsaw on March 11, 2012 was the first flight served by Wroclaw Airport after the operational opening of the new terminal. For 12 years, the number of both operations and passengers has been constantly growing, and the historic 30-millionth passenger flew from Warsaw to Wrocław on March 3 at 11:30 aboard LOT Polish Airlines’ LO3853 aircraft.

February records

The number of operations (2 135) and passengers (228 122) served at Wrocław Airport in February increased by nearly 17% compared to the same period in previous year. This is another month of increases. The seat factor on as many as 20 out of 35 low-cost routes was over 90% and it concerns not only regular and popular destinations but also new destinations. In total, over 86 thousand passengers travelled to the destinations in southern Europe, as well as Morocco and charter destinations such as Kenya, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Turkey. The February record confirms the good direction in which the Wrocław airport is heading.

Record 2023 year at Wroclaw Airport

Wrocław Airport finished 2023 with the record number of passengers served in history. Great results in each subsequent month amounted to a total of 3,891,553 passengers who decided to travel from the capital of Lower Silesia.

It was the best year in the history of Wrocław Airport. Every month we improved our result from 2019. This is a reason to be very proud, but at the same time a motivation to exceed the number of 4 million passengers served in 2024. A year full of challenges is ahead of us. In addition to expanding the connection network, we will start investing in airport infrastructure, which will allow us to achieve even better results in the coming years, says Cezary Pacamaj, President of the Management Board of Wrocław Airport.

The increase in the number of passengers was also influenced by the increased frequency of connections in the most popular destinations. New, attractive destinations have appeared in the timetable such as Moroccan Agadir, Spanish Valencia or a direct connection with Seoul, which has been the showcase of the Wrocław airport since November.

New in Wroclaw Airport’s timetable – MARSEILLE

In recent months, the offer of Wrocław Airport has been consistently expanding. From April 1, Marseille will be within reach of Wrocław and Lower Silesia inhabitants thanks to a direct connection operated by Ryanair twice a week – on Mondays and Fridays. The “Gateway to the Mediterranean” will be the second French city, next to Paris, in Wrocław Airport’s timetable. Check prices and book flights at https://www.ryanair.com/gb/en

Norwegian again at Wrocław Airport. We will fly to Oslo Gardermoen and Copenhagen

The summer 2024 season will see the return of Norwegian airline to Wrocław Airport. The novelties for our passengers will be flights to Oslo and Copenhagen operated by Norwegian.
We will fly to Danish capital from 1 April (Monday, Wednesday and Friday). Connections to Oslo start from 20 June, Norwegian will be operating on that route on Mondays and Wednesdays.

“The return of regular connections to both Copenhagen and Oslo is extremely welcome. Not only because of the obvious increases in the number of passengers served, but also because the variety of connections for our passengers will be even wider. I believe that soon we will be able to announce other attractive destinations for summer season” says Cezary Pacamaj, CEO of Wrocław Airport.

To Lisbon and Agadir in winter

Lisbon and Agadir are new connections that will appear in the winter timetable of Wrocław Airport. Passengers will fly to the Portuguese capital and the Moroccan resort with Ryanair. The tickets are already on sale.

From October 31, passengers will fly directly from Wrocław to the capital of Portugal – Lisbon and to the most popular Moroccan resort – Agadir.

New attractive southern destinations strengthen our offer of low-cost connections. We believe that both Lisbon and Agadir will attract to Wrocław Airport those travelers who are looking for an interesting option for a sunny trip in the winter season – says Cezary Pacamaj, President of Wrocław Airport. He adds that two flights a week in each direction make it possible to choose such departure dates so as to go to the Atlantic Ocean for an extended weekend.

Ryanair will fly to Lisbon on Tuesdays and Sundays, and to Agadir on Tuesdays and Saturdays. The flight to Portugal will take 3 hours and 50 minutes and to Morocco it will take 4 hours and 35 minutes.

NEW! With Finnair from Wrocław to Helsinki

NEW! Finnair at Wrocław Airport. From the capital of Lower Silesia we will fly to Helsinki and further

Finnair, one of the five longest-operating airlines in the world, will fly from Wrocław. The capital of Lower Silesia is the fourth city in Poland from which we will fly to the Helsinki-Vantaa airport, and from there further to Asia or America. The first flights will start in April 2024, and the carrier has already launched ticket sales.

From Wrocław straight to the happiest country in the world. Flights to Finland, the six-time leader in the “World Happiness Report” ranking, are now available for passengers from Lower Silesia. All thanks to the new carrier – Finnair, which launches daily connections from Wrocław Airport to Helsinki.

– Finnair is one of the most important airlines in the Nordic countries. They offer flights around the world, which is why for travelers from Wrocław, they offer more opportunities to travel not only to unique corners of Northern Europe, but also to countries such as Japan, Korea or the United States – says Cezary Pacamaj, president of Wrocław Airport.

Finnair’s first flight from Wrocław to Helsinki-Vantaa Airport will take place on April 2, 2024. The carrier will operate daily. On Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, planes from Wrocław will take off at 5.35, and on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 15.10. The flight will take 2 hours and 5 minutes.

“We are delighted to introduce Wroclaw as a new destination,” says Ole Orvér, Chief Commercial Officer at Finnair. “We believe Wroclaw is not only a welcome addition for business travellers but also an intriguing leisure destination for people looking for a city break in a picturesque setting.”

Finnair is a member of the Oneworld airline alliance. It means that from April next year, carriers belonging to all three air alliances in the world will operate from Wrocław. Currently, these are: Star Alliance (including LOT Polish Airlines, Lufthansa and Swiss) and Sky Team (including KLM).

“The presence of Finnair strengthens our position as one of the most dynamically developing regional airports in the country. We hope that both passengers traveling for tourist and business purposes will benefit from the connection to Helsinki – says Jarosław Sztucki, Sales and Marketing Director of Wrocław Airport.
